Hello, I'm Madelynn

(but you can call me Maddy)
Simple line drawing of a traditional barn with hay bales stacked outside beside its walls.

What started as a 4-H photography project at the Shawano County Fair has grown into Made by Madelynn Photo & Design. I know most people don’t exactly love having their picture taken (I get it — I’m the same way), which is why I’m happiest behind the camera.

I grew up on my family’s 120-cow dairy farm, where I learned the value of hard work, early mornings, and following through on what you start. That same work ethic carries into my photography — showing up prepared, paying attention to the details, and helping clients feel at ease from the first click to the last.

At the heart of it all is my faith, which guides how I approach each session. I believe every person and every moment is a gift from the Lord, and I aim to reflect that in the images I create.

Whether it’s portraits, agriculture, families, or weddings, my hope is that you leave with more than great photos — you leave with the memory of an easy, genuine experience.

My approach

I keep things simple and stress-free so you can focus on the moment, not the camera. Sessions are relaxed, flexible, and designed to bring out natural expressions and genuine connections. Whether we’re spending half an hour together or an entire day, my goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and confident.

From start to finish, I handle the details so you can enjoy the experience. Every package includes thoughtfully edited images you’ll be proud to share and cherish for years. My hope is that you not only love your photos, but also look back on the time we spent creating them as a highlight in itself.
